The short answer

In Duckrow, a campaign's Sequence tab is one canvas for every channel. Add step offers Email, Wait, Condition, SMS, LinkedIn Visit, LinkedIn Invite and LinkedIn Message, and steps run in order for each lead. Waits count days or business days only. You can edit, duplicate or reorder steps while the campaign runs, and the next sends use the change.

Step by step

  1. 1Open the Sequence tabOpen a campaign; Sequence is the first tab. The canvas starts at Sequence start.
  2. 2Add steps in orderClick Add step and pick Email, Wait, Condition, SMS, LinkedIn Visit, LinkedIn Invite or LinkedIn Message. Each lead goes through them top to bottom.
  3. 3Set waitsA Wait step takes 1 to 30 days. Business days only skips Saturdays and Sundays when counting.
  4. 4Set up LinkedIn stepsVisit needs no setup (leads without a LinkedIn URL are skipped). Invite takes an optional note; past 300 characters LinkedIn may cut it. Message needs a 1st-degree connection. Each profile sends at most 200 visits, 20 invites and 60 messages a day.
  5. 5Reorder or copyEach step's menu has Edit, Duplicate, Move up, Move down and Delete.
  6. 6Edit while it runsChanges apply to the next sends; leads already past a step aren't sent it again.

Try it in Duckrow

About five minutes, in your own workspace.

  1. Open a campaign (or create one from a workbook) and go to Sequence.
  2. Add Email, Wait (3 days, business days only), LinkedIn Visit and LinkedIn Invite.
  3. Write an invite note and watch the character count.
  4. Use Move up on the Visit step, then Move down to put it back.

You're done when you have a four-step, two-channel sequence in the order you want.

Check what stuck

Three quick questions. Nothing is saved.

  1. 1. You want a LinkedIn message to reach someone you're not connected to yet. What happens?

  2. 2. You turn on Business days only for a 3-day wait. Which days don't count?

  3. 3. You fix a typo in step 3 while the campaign runs. Who gets the fixed version?

Transcript

0:00One sequence, every channel

Email first, a LinkedIn visit and invite, another email, then a message once they've connected. In Duckrow, that's one sequence on one canvas.

0:12Add steps

Open the campaign's Sequence tab and click Add step. The menu holds email, wait, condition and SMS, then the three LinkedIn steps: visit, invite and message. Steps run top to bottom for every lead.

0:28Waits that skip weekends

A wait pauses the sequence before the next step, from one to thirty days. Turn on business days only, and Saturdays and Sundays don't count.

0:39LinkedIn steps

A visit views their profile. An invite can carry a note; keep it under three hundred characters, or LinkedIn may cut it off. A message only reaches people who are already connected. Each LinkedIn profile has daily limits: two hundred visits, twenty invites and sixty messages.

1:00Change it while it runs

Every step has a menu to edit, duplicate, move or delete it. And you can edit a step while the campaign runs. The next sends use your change.

1:11Recap

To recap. Add steps in order: email, waits, LinkedIn and text, on one canvas. Waits count days, or business days only. Edit any step while the campaign runs. Next, personalise every message with variables.
